Division Assignments are based on order of finish in
previous year's World Series play. The winner of the White Division will
play the runner-up of the Red Division, and the winner of the Red Division
will play the runner-up of the White Division in the semi-final round.
The winners of these two games will meet in the championship game.
In the event of identical won-loss records within a Division, the winner
will be based on results of head-to-head competition between the teams with
identical won-loss records. In the event of a three-way tie within a
Division, the least number of runs scored against a team shall be used to
determine the winner. If a two way tie remains after consideration of
runs scored against, head-to-head results between those two teams will
determine the winner.
When teams are tied for the Division Championship, the second place team
shall be the team remaining after the champion is determined by the above
formula. In the event two teams being considered for second place have
identical won-loss records, results of head-to-head competition between
those two teams shall determine the second place team.
